Special Needs Care in Lowestoft

| I have in the past helped look after and assisted with supported living. Take people out for appointments and assist with day to day living needs which include washing and dressing, meal prep, medication, cleaning, day trips.

| I have qualifications & experiences with all different ages, and special needs. I have two references. I have a DBS. Have worked with people with disabilities in 2 nurseries and in a primary school. Including work experience in a special needs school. My qualifications are level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, level 2 & 1 Childcare. Level 1 Health and Social & Young People and Children Settings. With all these qualifications have units on disabilities. The people I work with have my full attention, I get to know their interest and what makes them happy. I'm kind, caring, creative person who's passionate about working with people with disabilities and children. I'm adaptable, trustworthy, reliable. I have a good sense of humour. Also have a great imagination. I have worked in 2 nurseries, primary school, as a teacher assistant working within SEND for a year. Also volunteered had lowestoft library, four seasons fate and raised money Top Cats. I have a cousin with autism who I grow up with, Also have a brother with ADHD. | I worked for 9 years in a special needs secondary school. I was previously a home care support worker for children working for NHS continuing care team. I had 2 nieces with deafness seizures and mobility issues. So a wide varied experience. I want to help young people with special needs to live as independent and full a life as possible.

I am a friendly person who enjoys spending time with children and encouraging and observing them learning through play by having a great time in a range of environments. I enjoy reading, walking, photography, spending time with my younger brother from birth who is now 12years of age and has cerebral palsy and global developmental delay. I have a wide experience of working with children of various ages, abilities and backgrounds in a range of settings. Up to June 2013 I have worked as a Communication Support Worker for over 5 years as a one to one for children with hearing impairments using British Sign Language (BSL). Therefore I have achieved BSL Level 1 and 2 and am currently studying BSL Level 3. I also know Makaton which is using signs and symbols to aid communication. I have also worked closely with and supported children who have Special Educational Needs, Global Developmental Delay, Learning Difficulties and ADHD. I hold a BTEC National Certificate Level 3 in Early Years.
