I'm a happy, patient and reliable person with a breadth of experience. (Currently unavailable)
I am a current student teacher at university and I am looking for a part time job outside of my studies.
Previous to my PGCE I have worked for five years in an Enhanced Resource Provision in a secondary school in Wales. In this role I was working primarily with one class in particular where the pupils needs were complex, neurological and physical.
I adored this job so much that I spent the next four summers working at a Special Needs Camp in upstate New York. During this time we were offering 1:1 support with our campers, whilst working as part of a team to make sure that each camper had an amazing holiday. I would assist campers with lifting, toileting, eating, bathing and also support them to join in with new, fun and different activities in order to give them the best possible holiday. My campers ranged from the ages of 6-72 and this has also prepared me to deal with various accident/emergency situations and I also gained experience with different medical issues.
My whole life has been focused around working with people with SEN, it is when I am the happiest and where I work best. I'm looking for a job where I can build a trusting relationship with someone and help them in all their endeavours!
