Health care support worker and student LD nurse
| I have been a support worker for people with learning disabilities, autism and epilepsy with physical disabilities for 4 years. In this role I handled mediation, health appointments, took individuals to their daily activities and supported them with different aspects of their life. During this role I was nominated for an award for my work in the national learning disabilities and autism awards, I have also been in interviews around the work I did during coronavirus and working with vulnerable adults. For the last 2 years I have worked as a health care support worker in a mental health hospital. This challenging job has allowed me to face difficult situations. I have also just started my Learning Disability Nursing degree in university. I feel that I am a hard working, positive individual who wants to help others to live their life to the fullest. I have taken various training courses, regular DBS’, and currently working towards another qualification in PBS. I have had plenty experience with all ages and disabilities or mental health conditions. I am a punctual individuals who completes all tasks with maximum effort.

Looking for full time summer work (June and September 2018), experience with autism + special needs
| I am hardworking, enthusiastic and reliable with an easy going and welcoming nature. I have excellent communication skills and am naturally empathetic, allowing me to be understanding and responsible. I am also passionate, creative and imaginative when it comes to providing activities and entertainment for the children. In July 2016 and 2017 I volunteered with the charity Leaves of Hope for Belarusian Children based at a rehabilitation centre in Zhodino near Minsk, Belarus. The children here have either recently entered the care system or have been in long term care in state orphanages and are awaiting placement with foster families. My duties included my role as team leader and providing formal and informal play and creative opportunities for children with special needs from as young as 3 to early teens. As well as general duties such as craft sessions to develop fine motor skills and play sessions to encourage physical activity and social interaction, I special responsibility for one to one engagement with a child with non-verbal autism.
