I am currently studying for a BSc Degree in Animal Conservation and Biodiversity at the University of Greenwich and recently completed a Diploma in Animal Management at Capel Manor College in Enfield.
I have experience of handling and husbandry for many animals commonly kept as pets in the UK: cats, dogs, rodents, horses, tropical fish, and exotics such as: tenrecs, sugar gliders, bearded dragons, geckos, bosc monitor lizards, terrapins, and small to medium snakes.
I previously volunteered for The Riding for the Disabled, grooming and mucking out the horses and ponies, and taking children out on treks and around the paddocks. I now volunteer at a Wildlife Rescue Centre, working with hedgehogs, badgers, squirrels, owls, pigeons, crows, mice, and various other injured or sick animals that come into the hospital for treatment and rehabilitation.
I was a keeper at a Zoo for 2 years in the B.U. G. S section, and looked after giant anteaters, tamarins, guinea fowl, alpacas, red-tailed green rat snakes, golden mantella frogs, and many invertebrate species including tarantulas, scorpions, jellyfish, cockroaches, stick insects, African land snails, giant centipedes and bees.
