| I am an animal lover by nature, I have grown up around them my entire life, and own a variety of pets myself which are mainly all rescues. I am a vegetarian due to my love of them, and have an NC in animal care which includes grooming, diet, behaviour and handling. I have experience caring for shy animals, animals after small and large surgeries, tube feeding after surgery, different types and forms of medication including injections due to my work with rescue animals. I myself have had guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, cats, dogs, rabbits, snakes, lizards, fish, giant african land snails, tarantulas and frogs so have a large amount of experience and knowledge regarding their care and needs. I am also incredibly picky with the care of my own pets and always make sure I have someone who I know is capable of caring for all of my pets without issues and that I can trust 100% whilst I'm away, so I can empathise with you wanting the exact same care for your own animals. I have 2 cats of my own and a young Labrador pup now, and still visit my grandparents house to look after and help out with their beagle too. I took on a lot of the walking and feeding responsibilities of the larger dogs I grew up with, as well as regularly grooming and caring for the other needs of the variety of dog breeds that we have had. I am comfortable looking after dogs/cats such as walking, feeding, nursing, and bathing.
| I have a house cat who lives with my parents and before I came to University I would feed her, bathe her and let her outside in the garden to have some fresh air. I would also help my neighbours dog in daily walks and would occasionally feed the dog since the owner was elderly. I have no preference in looking after either dogs or cats and their age does not bother me at all. With the right training, I could also give the pets any prescribed medicine that they might require as I also did this with my own cat. I can also provide bathing services for the pets if needed. Not once in my time of looking after pets have they ever lashed out to me since I care a very calm atmosphere and I feel like I get along with animals very well. Another thing to mention is that my cat was very shy when we got her and over time I grew an understanding that she had different traits that I had not seen with other cats, this means that I am comfortable in looking after cats/dogs that are hyper or just timid. I understand that a lot of cats and dogs may not like meeting up with strangers in their homes, however, I will try my very best in providing a calm environment in the home so that the pet will feel more comfortable with me and not to feel scared.
