| From a young age, I have cared for both cats and dogs, gaining invaluable experience and forming deep bonds with them. Growing up in a pet-friendly household, I naturally developed a sense of responsibility for their well-being. My primary responsibilities included feeding them, maintaining a consistent schedule, and ensuring their dietary needs were met. I also enjoyed walking our dogs, providing both exercise and mental stimulation. During these walks, I focused on teaching them basic commands and tricks, which required patience and persistence, enhancing our bond and their behaviour . Caring for cats involved different tasks, such as maintaining litter boxes and understanding their independent nature. Playing with them and ensuring they had enough physical and mental stimulation was crucial, especially for indoor cats. Challenges like dealing with pet illnesses and ensuring our home was pet-proofed taught me resilience, empathy, and problem-solving skills. These experiences have been incredibly rewarding, instilling a deep sense of compassion and responsibility that extends beyond pet care to all areas of my life.

Since my childhood I was petsitting dogs of my neighbours when they weren't home and also my grandparents had a house in countryside where I was helping to take care of their dogs, cats but also farm animals. I gained experience in dog walking and training after getting my own large dog 3 years ago; at this point I began extensive research on dog training and behaviour. My training is based on solely positive methods (no use of coercive techniques). Based on your pet’s needs I offer basic obedience training (such as sit, down, come, heal) as well as training to address behavioural issues including leash walking, barking, jumping on people, etc. I offer walking services for dogs of all sizes. It is also possible to combine training and walking services where applicable. I am available in the early morning during weekdays and at any time during weekends.

I’m Freja and I’m looking to provide pet care over the summer having now finished uni.
| Whilst I do not have any professional pet care to reference, I have grown up constantly surrounded by dogs. Not only did I have my own dogs but I also have significant experience around family friends dogs. My current dog, a sweet Border Terrier named Charlie, and I appeared on a CBBC dog training show after making it through a number of auditions, which I believe demonstrates my love, dedication and capability in pet care.
