Dog Trainers Hartlepool

| New to pet care (other than looking after my own pets). I've had cats all of my life, indoor and outdoor and I've had/been around dogs for the last 8 years. My current dog is a greyhound mix so I am fine with bigger dogs. I'm a personal assistant privately most of the time. I'm by no means a dog trainer but I have taught a few old dogs some new tricks! I do have my own car, plenty of free time and just looking after pets would be living the dream for me haha.

I love being around animals and I enjoy getting to know each individual animals personality. I have always had dogs myself where I have participated in dog training events. I have walked other peoples dogs periodically over a number of years. I have also been grooming dogs, nail clipping etc for a number of years. I have a friendly, calm nature and I find this a good attribute when working with animals as this makes it easier for them to gain trust. I currently have a gsd pup who has a lot of special needs due to a medical condition so have experience of dealing with dogs that are a little unique. My pup needs to be fed in a chair and kept upright for 20 minutes, and also has a large daily medical routine. This has gave me more knowledge and skills to adminster medicines.

| I'm currently looking to earn some extra cash while in college part time. I have plenty of experience in childcare as I have a 2 year old of my own and have babysat since my early teens. I have animal care experience including grooming pets and also dog walking as well as working with all kinds of animals as part of my college course and I am currently working towards my level 3 in animal management then onto further education. My preferred job is to look after animals and children. I have previously gained experience with animals through volunteering in various animal settings. I am passionate about nature love being outdoors and fresh air. Available Monday - Sunday please call for a chat ,( I am at college Tuesday evening and Wednesday Morning) I do have my son who is 2 years old I have good support and childcare. I don't have any transport so I would need the pet/pets or child/children brought to me unless the area is close by. I have a pet friendly and smoke free home. | I'm Paula (Polly) answer to either, I live in a small village in east Durham called Thornley with my husband Geoff and 3 fury babies. I have 3 Chihuahuas, 2 girls and a boy... Lexi, Daisy and Gerry. After working with humans for most of my life I've learned I like dogs more. Being a dog owner I know how precious they are and love nothing more than spending time with them. My husband and I ran a kennel club assured dog breeding business for 7 years however work commitments in our day job forced us to go fulltime and rehome all the dogs. We still have the kennel facilities which l am keen to convert into a part time business of some sort, I miss working with animals so much and the long term plan is to hopefully do that fulltime in the not to distant future. After researching and alot of thought I have decided to offer dog walking in my spare time and plan to do a grooming course. I know how important it is to trust anyone looking after your pooch and would be more than happy to plan a visit to introduce myself as and if you require my services.

| My name is Melissa and I am really outgoing, friendly and reliable. I study Animal Management and Care Level 3 Diploma and I am finishing my course this year. Within the course, I have cared for a variety of species, such as Brazilian Rainbow Boa, Tomato Frogs, Tarantula's, Dogs, Cats, Rabbits, sheep, pigs etc. I am a very hard working, responsible and ambitious pet lover that has many pets of my own. Every pet deserves to be treated and handled correctly and efficiently in order to enjoy their life!

I am a highly experienced dog carer and behaviour specialist who has been running training classes for over 10 years. I hold qualifications in animal behaviour and dog grooming, and have completed a pet first aid course. I work part time as an aftercare trainer for an assistance dog charity. I am also fully licensed and insured, and CRB checked. I have a large, securely fenced garden which is designed to stimulate dog's senses, and has sections for calming activities such as scent work, as well as toys to use up energy like activity toys, tugging toys, places to hide in and chase around, sand pit, paddling pool, and agility and flyball equipment. I specialise in small dogs for boarding and daycare, but offer training for all dogs. I have a variety of packages such as board and train, and daycare and train. I also have an air conditioned van for transporting dogs safely. I'm based in Ludworth in East Durham, halfway between Durham and Peterlee.

I have a Distinction in animal care, I have a merit in subsidiary animal management I am now working towards a distinction on my extended animal management course. I have experience working with rescue dogs and cats, handling them to cleaning them out. I don't mind getting my hands dirty. I also have experience working in a dog groomers, I handled aggressive dogs in this, I can complete the care tasks myself and in depth with the ability to spot any signs of ill health in a dog.
