Experienced owner of mischievous cats.
| I have cared for cats for most of my life. Having over a decade's worth of experience in personally having to care for cats that have the tendency to bite, scratch and get into trouble; I can handle a cat that may be less than friendly. I believe that all animals deserve love and attention, and maybe a treat or two while we're at it. I am allergic to dogs.

Experienced cat-sitter, working from home
| Hi there! I am an entry-level medical writer just out of university. I moved to Oxford last year with my partner who started a PhD, so I'm still relatively new to the city. I'm actually from Hungary, but I moved to Glasgow 5 years ago to complete undergraduate degree; this sadly meant leaving my two beautiful cats behind, Murci and Jasper (you can see Murci on my profile photo). It was one of the most painful things I ever had to do, because I am absolutely obsessed with cats. The main reason I decided to be a cat sitter is to compensate for not having cats here - even just looking after them for a day or two makes me so happy! I am happy to do both daily visits and overnight sitting, and I am also open to the option of taking care of your little one in my own home. All in all, I am a super positive, compassionate and organised person, your cat couldn't be in better hands than mine. Thank you for considering me :)

Purrfect Pet Sitting
| Hi everybody, firstly thank you for checking out my profile. If you are going away on holiday and require a huge animal lover to care for your fur babies in your absence, you've came to the right place. I will treat your pets, how I would my own, with lots of love and attention. I work at an animal rescue caring for the abandoned animals and I find them the second chance in life they deserve. I have experience feeding, mediating, caring for and of course cleaning up after the animals in my care. Throughout my role at the rescue, has gave me the knowledge to notice when your pet, isn't helping their best and signs to look out for that they may require medical attention. I'm well used to animals on strict diets and needs. I have my own transport and can easily travel to your destination without any trouble. I have lots of references and reviews I can show you. Any questions, give me a message.

Some cat sitters will charge a fixed rate per day if full-time care is requested.

How can I find a local cat sitter near me in Oxford?

You can filter and sort local cat sitter profiles by distance from Oxford. Compare your options by reading about their experience, the hourly rate they charge, and reviews from other cat parents. There are currently 1,206 cat sitters in Oxford, although you can expand the radius of your search if you'd like to increase your options.

What questions should I ask a cat sitter in an interview?

The best cat sitters in Oxford have a combination of experience and passion for cat care. Ask questions about the types of pets they have personally owned and how often they are currently cat sitting. Because cats behave differently than dogs, make sure to ask questions that are specific to cat behaviours and tendencies. It's also a good idea to give specific scenarios to the cat sitter you're speaking to so you can have a good idea of how they will treat your cat when they are in your home. Be sure to ask for references from other cat parents in Oxford that have worked with the sitter of your preference.
