Cat Sitter for Day Visitation, Feeding, and Quality Time
| Having grown up with cats all my life, I have experience with shy ‘scaredy’ cats; rambunctious, high energy cats; and those which can potentially be seen as difficult. I recognise that every cat has their own personality, and an individualised approach is needed for each animal. I have my own rescue cat who was previously abused, and have spent months building her trust. I’m proud to say she now follows me everywhere and does her little rattlesnake tail whenever she sees me! On top of this, I have also fostered a cat with medical issues in the past from a rescue up in Nottingham. I am currently studying a Kennel and Cattery Management Diploma, which includes modules such as feline behaviour, transportation, illness, and administration of medication. I am happy to administer oral and topical medication, but I will need guidance if your cat requires fluids. I am happy to spend quality time with your cat during the day and can bring my own cat toys for their enrichment, including puzzle balls and fishing rods.

What questions should I ask a cat sitter in an interview?

The best cat sitters in Basildon have a combination of experience and passion for cat care. Ask questions about the types of pets they have personally owned and how often they are currently cat sitting. Because cats behave differently than dogs, make sure to ask questions that are specific to cat behaviours and tendencies. It's also a good idea to give specific scenarios to the cat sitter you're speaking to so you can have a good idea of how they will treat your cat when they are in your home. Be sure to ask for references from other cat parents in Basildon that have worked with the sitter of your preference.
