Elderly Care in Tadworth

| I have previously worked in a care home. I can do all types of personal care to helping around the home. I have a Level 3 Health & Social Care. DBS on the update system.

| Although i have no professional experience working with Elderly people, I did help care for my grandparents. My grandfather had dementia and my Nan had mobility problems. I loved my time with them, listening to all their amazing stories. I need a job to supplement my day job which is Childcare.

| Between the covid-19 lockdown period I had the pleasure of having my elderly grandfather staying with me, He has very limited mobility and is wheelchair bound due to being an amputee after loosing one of his legs, he also is heavily medicated due to heart failure & fighting stage 3 kidney cancer, as well as this prior to living with myself he had two large melanomas removed from his good leg therefore I was in charge of cleaning & changing dressings ensuring no infection took place in the healing process which we were successful in doing.. I tended to his everyday care needs when not on shift during the day so I washed & dressed him in the mornings and attended to personal care needs.. and did the same every evening I cooked and supplied him with his meals and fluids & made sure his medication was readily available and reminded him to take them.. I was a there to talk to, to accompany on trips out & made sure that every day he was living his life to the fullest. I am no stranger to every form of care, throughout the daily hour by hour routine and I’m familiar with all types of equipment, I’ve cared for people of all ages and I love what I do.

| I have experience in taking care of older people as I took full-time care of my grandparents for years until they passed away, and I've helped them happily with everything that was necessary and loved to talk to them and listen to their stories.
