Through out my care/supporting career, I have assisted elderly people through varied times of their lives, as I have experienced every individual has different needs. This is what I like and enjoy, no two people are the same. I have required a lot of knowledge through attending university and completed a year of training in an older persons team within social services. This has assisted with informing people of their rights and assisting to put a care package together if needed, either with the individual or with their families. Currently, I support within a small an individual with the on set of dementia, within their own home. I assist with all daily tasks and will go that little extra to ensure the individual is comfortable and happy.
