| Caring is a rewarding field to work in it provides opportunities of every day to help improve people's standards of living, by helping individuals to overcome the every day to help, i can help clients with disabilities, including learning disabilities, elderly, long-term illness, end of life. And as a carer is where by I can help a wide range of duties and by helping individuals with immediate needs such as washing, dress up and all personal care and house work, maintaining their hygiene as well as helping them with basic day to day such having a walk if they can and including to get to the clients personally and provide them with supporting them with their needs and well-being. My duties can be also extend to help the clients to take part in leisure activities such as going on a day trip. I can spend a considerable amount of time with working with same clients it is good working relationships with the clients. I can help a client to pursue their hobbies .Being a care assistant it can be a challenge role, but it is also one of the most rewarding and fulfilling job.

My experience working with elderly patients for 5 years in the hospital setting
| For five years, I worked as a Patient Assistant in the General Hospital in Isolo, Lagos. This involved similar duties to that of the support worker role. This involved caring for patients within a surgical ward of the hospital. This involved assisting the patients with their daily needs, assisting them to get around and to get to other appointments and departments. Much of my role involved reassuring and calming the patients, listening to them to ensure that their needs were met and working closely with my colleagues from the medical staff team to alert them of anything that I was not qualified to support with. I really enjoyed this work and took a lot of satisfaction from helping patients and communicating with their families. My role was a demanding role – both physically and mentally at times and required me to think on my feet and to be organised and methodical in my approach to my work duties.
