Dementia Care Hereford

| Having cared for my mother in Leominster, Herefordshire for 6yrs, suffering mild dementia, cancer and in the latter months a stroke which led to her passing September 2015 I find myself obsolete with a gained skill-set. Now wishing to begin to move forward I'm looking for a live in position (or partially)where some of my talents/skills can be utilised, these include organisation, great cooking/housekeeping,compassion, respect, love of animals and totally responsible.

| I have over 15 years of experience in care. I have worked in nursing homes, residential homes, and community care. I currently support many clients with dementia offering carers breaks for a family member or a live-in carer. I currently hold a health and social care level 3. I have many other care qualifications that are too long to list but are available at request. I hold a current DBS, full insurance and my car holds a business insurance certificate.

| I have worked within the care industry for over 10 years, covering all aspects of care to elderly, I have worked with more complex conditions and also with those with learning difficulties, I have gained a wide range of experience and am fully competent in more complex care needs such as: • PEG/ Gastrostomy feeding and care • Tracheostomy care and management • Cough assist and suctioning • Ventilation • Communication aid boards, eye gaze • Transferring unable clients to adaptable equipment using ceiling and manual hoists. • Epilepsy and buccal midazolam awareness. • Learning difficulties • Dementia And more recently, Palliative care working for Marie curie for the last 3 years and still continuing to do so. I thrive in supporting people with any aspect of need and care, I am very realiable, always will to help as much as possible!

| I have always been very close to my parents and grandparents which is why I've always had a passion for making sure there okay well and have everything they need. I have worked out in the community(independent living), and have worked withing several carehomes, caring and assisting older adults with disabilities, dementia and in general need of a little helping hand.

| I have worked in the care sector for a number of years varying from elderly care, dementia care, to caring for adults with learning disabilities. I find it easy to meet new people and during working as a carer, I find it easy to build bonds with people. I pride myself on the quality of care I provide and would really love to meet new people and try to make a positive impact on their lives.

| Trustworthy and reliable, self employed 59 year old lady. Experience with Huntington's disease, dementia and semi disabled clients. Good companionship and assistance with transport, meal preparation, shopping, housekeeping, dog walking / pet care, administration / arranging of appointments and some personal care. Able to do sleep overs if required Monday to Thursdays nights only.

| We are a couple with 40 plus years of nursing and caring experience between us. Both experienced in care in the community and in the acute hospital setting. My name is Shelley and I’m a registered general nurse and my partner Richard is a health care assistant with 22 years care experience especially with the elderly and dementia patients. We are not looking to replace any medical services but offer a support system for people of all ages who need a little help to maintain their independence. It maybe you have just had a major operation or you may need on going support. We are both very aware that the current system is seriously lacking community support. We can help you get about, do shopping, take you to a hospital appointment, assist with errands, help with animals.. whatever it is you need please just ask. We will do whatever we can to help.
