| I’m currently a 3rd year student at Strathclyde studying Speech and Language Therapy. I’ve had 16 days of experience helping adults and elderly patients in a hospital placement. During this I assisted some with eating and drinking and spoke to the patients. Additionally I have had two days of experience being in a care home speaking with the elderly. I’ve cared for a man with additional needs. I am currently a companion of an elderly woman with dementia. I am friendly and a quick learner and would love to help you out.

| I have been in the care field for about 18 years. I have a vast amount of experience ranging from dementia to children with autism. I have worked in the NHS wards , nursing homes and currently working for the council for the last 2 years. I am part qualified mental health nurse. I am a confident driver and can use my own car. I have a very gentle , kind , warm, non aggressive approach to my nature and put service users first.

| I have experience with looking after my gran who developed dementia, although different to looking after non family I feel that this has given me lots of experience. I believe people looking for home help are really looking for a friend , someone they can build a relationship and trust with ,even if it’s just to chat over a cup of tea or help prepare meals I will always act in a professional and caring manner , I also help my own mother who has mobility and speech problems dealing with her medication . I would expect anyone who is in her life to treat her like the queen she is and rest assured I will do the same with anyone needing my assistance, I have my own car and love a good natter Most of all I love people’s story’s nothing makes me happier than a good natter and a good cup of tea ,happy to meet for an initial chat to see if we click I’m ,I get on with everyone, I may not have years of experience working for a company but I see this as an advantage as a lot of the “qualified” on paper home care see you as money or another i see you as a friend and have a more personal approach. looking forward to your message

| I’m 45 year old, friendly , active, patience and very understanding. I take care of my mom who has dementia and i believe I have what it takes to look after someone. It’s not a job but a passion to care for others. It makes me happy. I have my PVG if you like to look at it .

| I am currently a care assistant at a nursing home, but feel like I can't provide the personal care I would like too. Due to the volume of patients I have. I am extremely outgoing and Social, as well as compassionate. I am a firm believer in personal care as everybody is an individual and should be treated as such. I'm currently studying for my HNC in Care (equivalent to SVQ3) and hope to eventually go onto do nursing. I enjoy baking and art due to how therapeutic it can be and take the up most care when it comes to potential health and safely risks. I have had manual handling training, dementia training and can do personal care, domestic duties and assist feeding. I will be having my first aid training, as well as more manual handling training in the next 2months. So if your looking a break I'm just the person for you and your relative.

| I look after my mother who has had a stroke and has vascular dementia I also have a carer who comes in when I'm out at work I know it's sounds silly I care for people when I care for my mother as well but I enjoy what I do and even though I care for people this is my free time.

| I have worked in the care sector for 15+ years. I have worked in various roles from working with elderly/dementia and also worked with adults with learning disabilities. I have also worked in some very challenging roles as well.

| I was my fathers career for over 17 year till he sadly passed, I also looked after and careered for my husband great uncle in the last year of his life-fighting cancer. I have been working for the passed 8 month part-time as a private careering / companion for a lovely 84 lady who has dementia to allow the family to work i would take her for shopping , mass as this was the only activity she remembered that she loved. I believer that our elders should be treated with compasion and respect at all time .

| Until last month I worked with an elderly lady with dementia , caring for her in her own home assisting her with personal needs and care during day, evening and overnight , I enjoyed this experience and as she is unfortunately now in hospital I would like to continue this line of work . I also visit a woman with ms on a weekly basis and provide respite care when her partner goes on holiday . I have an HNC in social care .

| I used to work as a auxiliary in the old manshionhouse Victoria hospital it was all elderly patients long time patients for 4 years although that was a very long time ago it always stays with you also looked after my dad for 4 years with dementia

| Caring for an aged mother who is in her seventies and suffering from dementia, is what I love to do and cherish a lot. With the experience, I have with my mother and working in care homes as a care assistant, I have gained valuable skills in providing emotional and physical support to individuals with diverse needs. including those with disabilities, Senior citizens, and those recovering from illnesses. During my time as a care assistant at Kurudu care center Gwagwalada, Abuja Nigeria, I provided personal care, love with patience and understanding while making sure the safety and happiness of my client remains paramount.
