Elderly Care in Corsham

| My past jobs have mostly been in care homes, but after recently having a baby I have decided to go self employed. The jobs I do with my current clients are making and serving breakfast, preparing lunch & supper, all aspects of personal care, including baths and showers &assisting with dressing. I also do all aspects of house keeping; washing, ironing, bed making, hoovering, mopping ect. I also ensure that things like the recycling gets done, bins emptied and making sure the wheelie bins have been put out/collected back in. I can also assist with writing a shopping list and either helping you to order it or I can do shopping trips if necessary. I can also assist with things like Drs/hospital appointments. I can also assist with applying make up, arranging hair appointments. I could also walk dogs if needed. I have also previously taking clients for lunch/tea out in the summer to garden centres.

I take pride in my ability to put people at their ease and utilise my former nurse training to ensure health and wellbeing is monitored and maintained whilst building a good rapport to offer genuine therapeutic social interaction. I am sensitive to the unique needs of each individual and can offer everything from meal preparation and shopping to more hands on care to help you with your activities of daily living. I currently visit two seniors who consider me to be a part of the family and who will be happy to supply references. I am fully insured. It may help you to know a little more about me when I am not caring. I design crochet patterns and samples for a national magazine and am the author of two books Mindful Crochet and Colourful Crochet (published by CICO Books) I consider it a huge privilege to be a part of someone’s life and endeavour to fit in around you as much as possible.

| Full time work please. I have worked my way up from working with children and obtaining an Early years degree, to working in children’s social care with young people from the age of 16-25. I am seeking a career change to work with elderly and less able people. I am passionate about helping in any way I can, and always go above and beyond to ensure everything is how it should be. In the future I’d like to lead my own team, but for now I want to change direction for a bit and see where that takes me. I have looked after elderly and less able family, supporting with meal prepping, cleaning, clearing out the home, baking, shopping, light sewing, washing etc and currently my role is to support young people 16-25 with becoming independent and ready to leave foster care. This includes health, independence, emotional and mental health, housing, finances, employment, family time and much more. Due to the level of work I currently do, there is a 3 month notice in place. I am keen to move on into the right job and would therefore attempt to negotiate the 3 month notice if the right job becomes available.
