Elderly Care in North East Derbyshire

| I currently work in the NHS as an Occupational Therapy Technician but Im looking fir a change in career I have 30 years experience with elderly people assisting with personal care/cooking/shopping/promoting safety and independent living during the day/night times. I have always enjoyed a caring role as it gives me job satisfaction.

Our service aspires to enable people to remain in their own homes, happily and safely supported by a great package of care tailored to their needs. I have worked for the NHS for over 10 years and have seen a huge rise in the number of people missing out on quality of life as their care packages dictate that they are in bed by 8pm. Not only does this impact on pressure care (often 10 - 12 hours in bed) but also quality of life. I offer an evening and late evening call service during which, I can cook for, or with you, provide personal care, assist getting into bed etc. I will always recognise and work towards your goals promoting and enabling as much independence as is possible. I am fully DBS checked, a non-smoker, with own transport and I am happy to provide supporting references. I am trained in first aid, moving and handling etc. I am familiar with specialised dietry requirements, people with communication difficulties, pressure care needs. I have a diploma in dementia care to help ensure people feel secure and safe. I currently still work within the health service.
