Hello! I'm Maria and I'm a young, qualified primary school teacher. I've taught in a number of schools and worked with children from nursery right up to Year 6. On Saturdays, I run a study support and enrichment programme in Brixton, where young students, from KS1 to KS3, receive help with their homework. I am a thorough and committed teacher who combines excitement and fun with worthwhile, relevant learning opportunities. I have a strong working knowledge of the national curriculum, and school and assessment expectations. I teach all my students to persevere, to take risks, and be thorough and determined learners. I teach them not to give up, especially when facing challenges. I teach my students to focus on how able and strong they really are, and how to best use this confidence to overcome fears and reach new heights. I have experience of special educational needs, and I have been tutoring for over a year now.
