I am a very enthusiastic, positive person with a real passion for science. I work as a scientist and relish the opportunity to help others discover an appreciation of the joys and fascinating discoveries that the world of science has to offer. I specifically work in infectious disease data analysis. I am looking to provide some tutoring services to make some extra money before I go travelling. My tutoring history includes: Secondary school: - 13+ Science and Maths One year of weekly tutoring and mentoring of a student sitting their 13+ in Science and Maths. This particularly involved helping my student build confidence and revise topics they were less familiar/weaker in. - GCSE Biology, Chemistry, Maths One year of multiple lessons per week tutoring students preparing for their GCSEs. My main role involved revising difficult topics, practising exam technique as well as improving confidence. - Exam preparation Entrance paper practice Sporadic tutoring sessions to help prepare students for their entrance exams for a range of secondary schools. University support: I recently supported a BSc student with their dissertation in Zoological sciences. I helped with the analysis and write up of her research project.
