I am 38 years old, and have a generally calm, positive, patient and playful personality. I moved to Leeds (LS17) from London in mid-August, and I am looking for part-time care/support work. The majority of my work experience have been in academic research, however I have been working with individuals with special needs for the past couple of years. From February 2018 to August 2020 I worked part time at a community farm in South London, helping run a training programme for young adults with learning disabilities. This involved finding suitable tasks around the farm, and encouraging and supporting students as they undertook them. From May 2018 - August 2020 I also worked did respite care for a nine-year-old boy with a diagnosis of autism and a learning disability. I provided a structured day away from the family setting following one of several set routines, typically using public transport to visit a museum or participate in an activity such as swimming. I currently work supporting two clients in Leeds. I have committed Saturday afternoon, Sunday, Wednesday afternoon and potentially Monday to them, but can be flexible outside these days/times.
