Originally from the UK , I have been living in Sydney for the past 6 years, where I have been a preschool teacher for 3-5 year olds. I have the skills to create fun, learning activities for all age groups to help them develop. I have a clear knowledge of a child's milestones and how to encourage a child towards achieving them. My class consisted of 30 children so I can engage a group of children as well as care for a child on a 1:2:1 basis also. Alongside this I supported a young child through his diagnosis of autism and therapy, for the past 3 years. This child was non verbal so I have strong positive body language and can use PEC's as a visual aid. I have worked with children with complex emotional and behaviour difficulties so have patience and an understanding of managing behaviour. I have worked with children of all ages from newborn up to the age of 16 years, in a variety of different and sometimes challenging environments. I believe children from all cultures and backgrounds deserve the best opportunities, and I enjoy guiding and nurturing them on their journey.
