I have experience working in primary schools, my current role involves working on a 1-1 basis with a child with a brain injury resulting in physical and communication disabilities and afternoons with a child with autism. I have recently worked with a child with severe autism who used PECS to communicate. Through my work in primary schools I have received training in Lego Therapy, using Social Stories, Sensory Processing Disorder and Intensive Interaction. I have a bank of Boardmaker images which are useful when working with special needs adults and children. I am also able to use Makaton Sign language to support communication. I am available weekdays from 4pm, weekends and school holidays. I have a full clean driving license, DBS check.
