I currently work in a Special Needs School in North London. I work with pupils aged 7-19 with a range of additional needs including Social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, Autism, ADHD, Arthritis, Epilepsy, Dyslexia, Asthma, Downs Syndrome and more. My work includes (but is not limited to), delivering interventions including speech and language, physiotherapy exercises, administering medication and supporting with SEBD needs. I also work at a holiday scheme, here the service users are aged 8-23. I believe the most important qualities when working with additional needs is to encourage confidence, independence and happiness. Additionally, I do childminding with a 7 year old boy with Autism. I take him out to the park, do S&L activities and O.T exercises too. I also support the parents in anyway I can. I put all my energy into the work I do and truly feel passionate about it. Having had a mentor at school myself, I have first hand experience with how beneficial extra help and support can be. I strive to deliver a service catered to people's individual needs and wants. I am willing to undergo further training to benefit myself and those who I work with. I work in Southgate (North London) and live in Welwyn Garden City.
