Since a very young age and able to remember their has always been a family pet in the form of a dog, our first dog being a pedigree German shepherd who developed distemper and against all the odds including vets prognosis survived making a full recovery. I have also worked on a Farm with a flock of sheep and 2 sheepdogs which under the supervision of the shepherd learned how to send them out and bring them back with the whistle and calls. Currently we have a female Biscon freeze 2 years old from a puppy. Sadly we lost our other dog Jasper a Jack Russell last year due to old age. He was a rescue dog and skittish around strangers but we like to think that the 5 years he spent with us in some way made up for the bad treatment he must have received from previous owners.
