I have been a nursery teacher for 15, I found myself feeling unsure in my work, I looked at what I wanted out of life. Ive been drawn to elderly care, my whole life I have gravitated towards those who are vulnerable I get a sense of achievement from helping others. I have an extremely caring nature also an abundance of empathy, a career which allows me to use these qualities would be ideal. I have spent 5 years helping my nan who is 81, it is something I enjoy immensely. I have all the time in the world for her, I believe that the elderly deserve care/compassion, time, someone who is able to bring some joy into their lives, if i can make a difference, I would take great pride in knowing i have been that person to go that extra mile, to make someone happy to feel cared for & worth while. I get upset to see so many elderly people lonely, unsupported, I want to help, I can give time, be someone to listen, share stories with, help them carry out activities whether it be shopping/ doctors appointment. I treat people how I would like to be treated, I know each person with would be treated with the upmost respect and kindness just like they deserve.
