As a nurse in the hospital, my duty is to provide specialized care and attention to the elderly patients requiring medical assistance. I ensure that their physical, emotional and mental needs are met by paying close attention to their unique needs. I counsel and educate their families about elderly care and educate them on their medications, nutrition and exercise. I keep them comfortable and safe by providing them with appropriate mobility and assistive devices. I also provide support to their physical rehabilitation and emotional well-being through music, games and social interactions. My ultimate goal is to provide the elderly with a dignified life, free from anguish and discomfort.
