Throughout my time as a carer so far I've experienced both environments working in the night and also days. I've learned different ways of dealing with both environments according to its situation. My experience in care has allowed me to carry out various duties such as personal care, making beds, pad and position change, making snacks and tea/coffee etc, activities, assisting residents with going to the garden, taking residents out for a smoke and cleaning duties. I also have experience working with individuals with learning and physical disability, challenging behaviours, dementia etc. I also have experience in support worker where I engaged in duties such as cooking, cleaning, ironing, washing, medication administration, personal care, activities etc and any other duties that needed to be done.
