I have worked as a domicilary carer for the past 5 years and I have enjoyed my experiences thus far, I believe no job is without bad days and down time but overall I love my job. Being a carer is something i felt was natural to me and so I followed my heart. It is extremely rewarding. Knowing that I am making or have made a positive change to someone's day means everything to me. I have just recently joined the rapid response team with CLCH Nhs trust, however my duties remain more or less the same. I assist my clients with meal prep, personal care (showering/bathing/grooming). I also assist with toileting and managing incontinence. Prompting medication, light household work, food shopping and so forth. Being a carer is more than just a job to me, it is a way of being and something i thoroughly enjoy and I would love to get the opportunity to work with you and your loved one to help them have a better quality of life.
