I am 27 years old and previously looked after a 24 year old man with Down syndrome. The family moved back to America. I have regularly assisted at a Dementia support group on a weekly basis, whereby we would all get together to provide support and singing/music for themselves and their carers. I found this truly rewarding and a chance to find the joy in everyone's lives. I find caring for people something in which I looking forward to doing every day and I always like the challenge of learning new things.
