I have spent 3 years working full time in primary schools as a teaching assistant, and have previously worked as a as a Health care assistant in a dementia specialist care home. I have lots of experience with children with additional needs such as down syndrome, autism and challenging behaviour. I have training in epilepsy first aid, diabetes care, manual handling, paediatric first aid, speech and language support and have a basic knowledge of Makaton and BSL. I have an up-to-date DBS form too. I am able to help with homework and have a really good work ethic. I absolutely love what I do and am looking forward to being a fully qualified teacher soon!
