I started carding about 20 years ago when I had to give up work to look after my parents. Dad was blind, diabetic and had cancer and mum had just started with vascular dementia and Alzheimer. I lookex afeyer then both at home for aporox 15 years. In which time dad died and mums demebtia got much worse. Eventually i was advised that mum would be better of in care as she had got to the stage of needing 24hr care and after doing that for 3 years the social worker thought it was getting to much for me with having very little sleep. When mum went into care I was lost so decided to look for work in the care secret and started working for a homecare service until they closed. Then I went into working in a care home until I got cancer. After that when I was better I started working for a lady as a PA/carer in her own home, covering personal care, companionship, meal preparation, shopping , medicatiob etc. Unfortunately she passed away in april this year, hence looking for something similar . I have certificates in level 2 health and social care and can provide these if required.
