I have a broad range of care experience from being an Au Pair, to working in care homes, doing hourly drop in care rounds, live in care, and am currently caring for an end of life stage lady with Posterior Cortical Atrophy (a rare form of dementia) in her own home. Sadly I am anticipating that I will be seeking a new job quite soon. I have lots of experience with dementia and Alzheimers, as well as a general broad spectrum of care work including care for paralysed individuals, hoisting, feeding, bathing, administration of medication etc. My preference would be a more companionship based role with an active individual who enjoys walking. However, I am open to most kinds of care work. Longer shifts are preferred... I currently work 7 consecutive 12 hour shifts.
