I have worked in domiciliary care for more than 3 years; I have gained experience of working with different service users in their own homes. Each service user had their own needs and I assisted them with day to day tasks such as personal care, lunches, tea time’s calls and also prompt medication. My role was to promote each individual and also respect their right to choices and their right to privacy and confidentiality. Also, helping service users to remain in their homes where they are most comfortable. This experience has allowed me to understand people and also improve my time management, team work and record keeping skills and also good communication skills. I have also worked with people who have dementia and learning disabilities.
