I have over 10 years experience working with the elderly on a personal level. I throughly enjoy working with the elderly and I find that the more challenging the role, the more I thrive. I nursed my maternal and paternal grandparent from a very young age. Sadly they both suffered from dementia. I would cook clean and prepare lights meals. I truly get sooo much pressure from working with the elderly. I enjoy the practical aspects and like to keep very busy. At Hounslow Council I worked as a linkline officer, which involved safegurading the elderly and managing the Boroughs sheltered housing buildings. This was a very challenging role that I enjoyed. It changed me and made ponder about the difficulties that elderly people face in particular with loneliness.. Throughout my career I have gone the extra mile to help vulnerable people. I have also have many older friends and have always been an 'old soul '
