I have 8+ years of experience in elderly and dementia care. Anyone I care for is truly in the best hands. A brief outline of my experience- junior carer in a residential home, carer for home care, admin and recruitment for the home care company, part of the management team for a dementia unit in a care home, service manager of community support for young adults with learning disabilities, which I am currently still doing. My heart and passion lies with elderly and dementia care. This has been confirmed, as I care for a gentleman privately in my own time. I absolutely cannot put into words the satisfaction I feel leaving his home knowing he is clean, has eaten and is safe. Also taking the time to sit and talk with him makes his day. Most days I am the only person he has spoken to, so giving that extra 10 minutes of my time to make sure he isn't down or feeling lonely is something I would do over and over again.
