I'm a french graduated nurse with 18 years ;i worked with young ,adults and elderly patients.I worked on dispensary with therapeutic accommodations for elderly mental patients and in hospitals with in and out patients.Regarding my experience with elderly patients it was focused on monitoring them day after day,supporting them in all day activities and house duties;i used to deals with their medications and being ready for any first aid if it was needed(fall,crisis,...); manage the meal time and take care of any swallow trouble;hygien care and bed doing;bandages if needed;injections if prescribed;driving them to their medicals appointments ,helping them in the society(shopping,appointments,money management);support them with mental deseases or depressed feelings,trying to keeping them at home as longer as possible and discussing with all the team of an alternative future in any case;but it was occupational too by some activities.
