I have experience working with clients living with dementia, mental health diagnosis, various physical disabilities and providing palliative and end of life care.I have had the opportunity to work as a live in carer with a broad spectrum of clients that required care and support in their home. I am happy to make long term commitments in order to maintain continuity for the client as I recognise that, for some people, continual change can be a cause for concern. I am happy to be in an environment where pets are present and willing to take responsibility for their care and welfare. I understand that, on occasion, there will be a necessity for specific training to be undertaken in order to meet the required skill set in order to successfully provide adequate support to clients and I am willing to meet any specific requirements to this end. I am comfortable in the day to day running of a household and willing to undertake duties as might be expected in this role (cooking, cleaning, shopping, light maintenance, etc.). I have a fairly flexible attitude toward meeting other requirements (travel, being delegated other responsibilities, for example). My personal interests lie in wildlife conservation (a committee member of Cambridge and Peterborough Amphibian and Reptile Group) and life long learning (presently trying to gain mastery of a computing programme that can be used to explore data sets). I also enjoy travel and experimenting in the kitchen (with varying degrees of success!).
