I started my care journey as a domiciliary carer, I supported the elderly remain independent in their own home, my duties were to help with personal care, meal preparation, companionship and general household jobs to help them remain independent, I then moved to support and supported a disabled lady on a 2:1 basis, I supported with personal care, meal preparation, general companionship and to help access the community and to stay independent. I now work for an agency as a support worker so I have multiple experience of different environments and different clientele, I have worked in day centres, supported living environments and care home for both elderly and disabled.
