I am currently working as a manager of a playwork setting which provides before and after school care for 3-11 year olds, as well as being a senior playworker during our holiday club which runs for full days during half terms and most of the summer holidays. My position here requires me to have a good working relationship with parents and build close, supportive relationships with all the children in our setting. It also requires me to be able to quickly develop a positive relationship with new children who join our setting so they feel comfortable and safe in our care. I have been working for this company for 4 years and during this time have completed my NVQ Level 3 in playwork, as well as various other qualifications such as First Aid, Safeguarding, and Food Hygiene. I also have a Bachelor's of Psychology (2:1) from Cardiff University. In addition, I have worked within a nursery setting and a SEN primary school in a volunteer capacity.
