I currently work within a nursery where I have been based for 6 years; I have worked with children of all ages ranging from 4 months to 5 years. Alongside working at the nursery, I have worked for parents based at the nursery who have required regular/ last minute babysitting or childcare during a week day or weekend. From doing regular babysitting jobs, 1 parent asked me to work as a nanny helping get 3 children ready in a morning, dropping them off at nursery and then picking them up once I had finished my shift taking them home and looking after them until the parents were home again. I love working with children and seeing each child develop at their own individual pace, working with children gives me the excitement of something different every day, using my imagination to create new and exciting activities for the children within my care but also to get to know individual families and help they may require looking after their children/ child outside of a daily nursery setting.
