I am an enthusiastic and hard working individual with a bachelors degree in education. I have worked with a variety of children with different needs aged between 3-12. This has taught me that children have to be at the heart of every decision made, and building relationships is the foundation of building trust with children and young people. I have had further experience with children working as a camp counsellor at an American summer camp. I lived with the children in the cabin which increased my understanding of the ‘out of school’ child experiences. I was responsible for taking care of the children, for example, helping to get them dressed, making sure they were on time for their activities, created a bedtime routine, as well as planning activities during downtime which reduced behaviour difficulties. I have worked as an English assistant in a nursery in France. I lived with a French family during this experience which allowed me to be fully immersed in the French culture. I carried out school runs, planned activities during the weekend for the children and made a real connection with the children through living with them
