My name is Naomi, I am 21 and live in Caerphilly. I am was studying mental health nursing at university, specialising in children’s mental health. After a year of study I have decided mental health is not for me but I would love to work with children of any age and I’m just started to look into jobs surrounding this. I have had a range of caring experiences, from primary school placements, working in a care home, working as a domiciliary carer, and my current job as a healthcare support worker in a hospital. I grew up babysitting my little cousins, and enjoyed every minute of it. My future goals are to own my own business within child care, and this is my starting point! I am aware my limited experience will impact my offers in this area of work, however at the moment during this pandemic there has been no job offers up for working in nurseries/schools etc. I am a hard worker, extremely punctual and a happy, energetic person who is very social. I am a very caring person and can’t see myself doing any other line of work that isn’t somehow involved in care. I love helping and supporting people, from my patients to my family
