I’ve had babysitting experience with children aged 8 months -12 y/o and have coached swimming and volleyball to primary school aged children. I spent 4 months as a volunteer classroom assistant at Sandelford Special School where I worked with 2 classes and helped out with day to day activities and lessons, meal times, swimming, sensory play, arts and crafts and I also worked with several children with challenging behaviour. During my time in Cambodia I spent 10 months (all together) volunteering with boys aged 2-26 who all had physical and mental disabilities. I washed, dressed, fed and changed the children as well as helping with specialist school lessons, I assisted with OT, PT and sensory T. I worked in an After school club where I worked with children aged 4-11 and organised and supervised activities and games (arts and crafts, sports, cooking, outdoor, music, imaginary play, building etc) I love children and I’m passionate about working with kids with special needs. I love being outdoors, doing sport, cooking, music and would love to come up with fun ideas to do with the kids.
