I am currently looking for a position where I can bring my own child (17 months old). Its normally not something that many parents are keen on but I can provide references from my previous temporary nanny jobs - one where I have been covering for 3 months and also another one which I have just recently finished with a 5 month old baby and have been bringing my son along, just for your reassurance. Previous to having my baby I looked after 2 French girls in Chiswick for 3 years (they were 2 & 4 when I started) and left because I had my baby and the parents were going through a separation so their best interests was to then get an au pair.
