I have been babysitting for 6 years for local families. The children range from 4-14 years old with the largest family being 6 children. Due to my passion in sport, I was the school’s cricket and hockey coach for girls ranging from 12-18. This involved coaching all year groups throughout the week and taking them to sports competitions and matches with our Sports teacher. I also worked at play parties in Salisbury looking after disabled children and their siblings- I really enjoyed this experience as the children were such a joy to work with. Last Summer I worked at Manor Courses which is a summer school for international students wanting to learn english. My role for the 5 weeks was 'House Manager', (head of one of the boarding houses), looking after children as young as 5 who were away from their family for a minimum of 2 weeks. I am 1 of four in my family (a twin myself), and when we were growing up we had a lot of nannies and au pairs so I understand what it is like for the children to have someone else looking after them. I like to think children see me as a fun, kind and loving nanny/babysitter!
