I have always enjoyed looking after children. And once I have finished my degree I am hoping to get a job that involves working with and caring for children, perhaps children with disabilities in particular. Babysitting: I have babysat for children ranging from 2-11, however also have experience caring for babies, older children and those with disabilities. My parents are foster carers meaning I have experience with children aged 6 and below. Being the second oldest of five children I have also gained experience throughout the years by supporting and helping look after my younger siblings. General experience with children: I have undertaken work experience at a nursery where I cared for children aged 1-3 and at a primary school where I worked with children aged 6-8. For 4 years I worked at a swim school helping children aged 3-11 gain confidence in the water and teaching them to swim. For 4 years I have been volunteering at my local brownie unit and therefore have experience with children aged 7-10. I also worked at a Primary Schools After School Club during which I gained experience working with children aged 4-10
