I am a registered Learning Disability trained Nurse with a current NMC Pin, with 5 years nursing experience: personal care ( bathing, toileting, medicine administration ( PEG experience ) assistance with eating social activities, emotional support, health promotion & more. As a nurse I am naturally a kind and caring person with a friendly approach to relationships and communication. I also have experience working with children in numerous settings. As a teenager I was a Rainbow, Brownie & then Guide leader. I have placement experience in a nursery setting, a primary school for children with additional needs, after school care and 1:1 support for a child with Autism. I am a proud Auntie of 6 niece's and nephews, with some having additional support needs & have had experience within my own large family setting of caring for them on an individual basis. I have knowledge of childcare legislation & policies, an understanding of the Curriculum for Excellence & Realising the Ambition.
