I have been part of a Childcare Agency called, 'Watch Me Grow' since the summer of 2022, where I worked as a Nanny for a family in Manchester. I also attend shifts at various nurseries in Manchester, including Stockport, Sale and Salford. Agency work has further enhanced my confidence due to working alongside teams who I only meet on the day, and working in nurseries and being introduced to children of various ages has greatly enhanced my experience as a childcare practitioner. I worked for a before and after school club company based at High Legh primary school. Here, I cooked breakfast and evening snacks for the children, assisted them in arts and craft activities, helped them with their homework and provided them with complete care and supervision. Providing care for on average twenty children a day with only one other team member allowed me to further practice skills of leadership and confidence. I worked at a Family Restaurant/Play centre in Altrincham where I assisted children in the play area whilst their parents enjoyed the restaurant. I also worked as a waitress on some shifts if required, which allowed me to enhance my multi-tasking skills.
