I am a kind and patient nanny who is active and hard-working, enjoys cooking and baking and has a general can-do attitude. I play the piano, sing, and speak some Spanish and French. I have experience with potty training and cloth nappies. I can cook healthy meals for all ages (including the parents!) I encourage plenty of outdoor play, jigsaw puzzles and stories, and avoid screen time entirely (unless the parent specifies otherwise). My own approach to parenting is very kind but firm with lots of affection, but I think it's important to adapt to the parent's approach to ensure the child has consistency. I've been working in childcare for more than 10 years. I started as an au pair for 4 years while I was studying, then worked at a childminder's where I learned how to look after babies and toddlers. I became familiar with the EYFS and monitoring children's development and progress. Next I was nanny to a 5 year old girl. Then nanny to an 18 month old girl. I grew very close to her and her family and we still see eachother every week as friends. I am hoping for a similar relationship with the family I work for. I can do evening babysitting and weekends too.
