I am currently a Level 3 childcare qualified room leader, looking for evening and weekend babysitting, possibly in the week if enough notice is given so I can book time off work. In my room I work with one and a half to two year olds, before being based I was a floating member of staff and worked within all rooms from babies to preschool. Before becoming a room leader I was over in Germany working as an Au Pair for 2 years and a Nanny for 1 in the UK. My responsibilities included things such as helping the children with homework, taking them to clubs and other after school engagements, Looking after them and caring for their needs on a daily basis and I also had to be able to connect with the children and make sure that they felt that they could come to me with any questions or problems they may have. My main responsibility was making sure that the children were safe and supervised at all times, and before thins I volunteered in different schools and nurseries around where I lived to gain experience.
