Hello! My name is Amy, I am 20 years old and I am currently a 3rd year midwifery student studying at Cardiff University and I absolutely love it and find caring for mothers, families and newborns such a rewarding experience. In my spare time I love sport and being with my friends and family. My course leaves little time for starting a new job however, babysitting is something I have been doing since I was 16 starting from my little cousins to neighbours and therefore I feel comfortable and confident doing it. My past experiences have been; -regularly babysitting my 2 cousins aged 12 and 14 during the school holidays which included daily activities from the home and walks to the park nearby, making lunches and looking after their 2 dogs. - babysitting my neighbours during the evenings aged 6 and 8 which included making dinner, bed time routines such as showers/baths, homework and activities and then putting them to bed. Some other skills which I have found proven to be useful when babysitting have been; patience, compassion, time management, attentiveness, leadership, first aid, communication, adaptability, creativity and fun!!
